Pastor Jerry is 45 years old, married for 23 years this July to his wife, Sheryl. Mr. and Mrs. Ross have three daughters, one married, one in Bible College, and one in High School at Blessed Hope Baptist School.
He graduated from Bible College in 1987. Following college he pastored the Central Baptist Church in Brazil, Indiana for 7 years, then became Assistant/Youth Pastor at BH in 1994. He has been the Pastor at Blessed Hope even since his dad retired in July of 2005.
Pastor Jerry's Bible heroes are Jesus, always and first of all. Then King David for his heart, Nehemiah for his builder's spirit, Joseph (Jesus' step father) because of his remarkable humbleness, and Paul for his zeal for souls.
Most of Pastor Jerry's time is consumed in pastoring the BHBC. He says he does enjoy writing from time to time, an occasional round of golf, bow hunting for whitetails, and spending time with his wife and girls.
The song that introduces the BH broadcast is the adult choir of BHBC singing "Looking for that Blessed Hope". The first time they sang that song in church, it became our churches' unofficial theme song. I still love to hear it!
